My name is Michal Prno and I'm a born again Christian. I was a honest Roman Catholic until I discovered that the office of the Pope is a fraud. Then I quit attending the mass and started to search for the truth. I became a New Ager, studied positive thinking, the power or the thought (themes that were popularized by the movie The Secret) and at the same time I was thinking that Adventists are probably right. But mainly I was a sinner.
At the beginning of 2015 I was neck deep in my sinful behavior, but then happened something that totally changed my life (see below).
My super-short Testimony
I was good on the outside, bad on the inside. I was raised as a Roman Catholic and I was very active in the church. But as I grew older and my sins multiplied I realized that they couldn't help me with my sins. Confessions didn‘t bring me peace, only embarrassment because nothing changed in me, nothing changed inside. The Roman Catholic Church had no power to regenerate, to change my heart. Only God through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ could do that.
So, I was a Catholic, realizing that my sins are too many and I need help. But I didn‘t know who can help me because I was taught that the Roman Catholic Church (RCC) is the only true church and that there is salvation only in this church. But as the time went on and I realized the hypocrisy of the Catholics more and more, I started doing my own research. And I‘ve found out that many teachings of the RCC didn‘t align with the Bible they supposedly themselves created. Teachings like worshiping Mary, worshiping the saints, the Mass, the authority of the Pope etc.
Finally I‘ve argued myself out of the RCC and quit attending the Mass. That created a vacuum and after a while I moved to New Age teachings. Teachings that are presented in the movie The Secret and the like. The main issue with New Age teachings is that they put the human being at the pedestal. You want something? Then do it! You need something? Just believe it and you will get it! But that is a vanity in itself. Nothing happened and my sins multiplied even more. I was thinking to myself: If one day someone finds out the truth about me, that will be my end.
But out of the blue, I met a guy who told me that he is a born again Christian. I was interested. He gave me a sinner's prayer, then something to read and left me with that. I went online and searched for the truth. I‘ve listened to many preachings and finally realized what was it about with Jesus, what happened at the cross and why. I was crying, weeping and repenting of my sins. After that I confessed that Jesus is the Son of God, the only way to God and that he died also for MY sins and that he was resurrected by God. I also forgave everybody who wronged me, I renounced all false religions and I said something like „I renounce Satan and I submit to you Jesus“.
Then something „clicked“ in me. First I didn‘t know what happened, but the next day I realized I was released from a demonic bondage that was forcing me to do some of my sins. Also my attitude towards the Bible completely changed. I was like: „Wow, this all makes sense, this is great.“
This happened in May 2015 and since then I‘m a follower of Jesus. God changed my heart. The Bible says:
„Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.“ (2 Corinthians 5:17).
That‘s exactly what happened to me and I testify that God is real and has power to change people from inside out. He is offering salvation from our sins and He is offering an everlasting life (instead of just perishing) to anybody. Because:
„For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
The Bible also says that the salvation and everlasting life is not far from anyone:
The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart. That is, the word of trust which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, Whoever trusts in him, will not be disappointed. (Romans 10:6-11)
For anybody that will read this, I don’t want that you perish. Please, search for the truth...
